I completed my first degree in Psychology at the University of Leicester in 2005. After working in education for a year, I went on to train as a Speech and Language Therapist at City University of London, achieving my Masters in 2008.
I have been employed in the NHS for over 15 years working in Kent and Essex. I have worked at a range of settings in that time including in early years services, community clinic, a specialist provision for children with Developmental Language Disorder and with vulnerable teenagers in the Youth Justice Service.
I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council.

Initial assessments take place at your home. These appointments last about an hour and will involve playing with your child (depending on their age), observing their communication skills and carrying out formal and informal assessments. A summary report will be provided if required, for an extra charge. After the assessments we will discuss whether your child would benefit from therapy sessions. There is no obligation to arrange therapy sessions after an assessment appointment.
Therapy sessions can take place at your home or in your child’s education setting. We will agree targets to work on and activities and advice can be provided to work on in between sessions. Sessions last between 30 and 45 minutes as appropriate for your child and their stage of development.
Review assessments can be arranged if your child has had a break after a block of therapy. We will check their progress and agree new targets.
Please note I do not carry out assessments or provide reports for tribunals.
